Let us count the ways!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could step outside our home and be greeted with a rushing, tumbling waterfall? Or what if we could start each day with that delicious feeling in the air that comes after a spring rain storm? Energized and relaxed, at the same time!
Of course, this isn't possible. But what is possible is that some of those same feelings can be acheived by simply burning a beeswax candle on your kitchen table!
Negative ions, released into the atmosphere, are highest around moving water such was waterfalls, oceans, rivers and before, during and after rain storms. They clean the air leaving you rested, invigorated and ready to climb that mountain! Guess what? Natural beeswax candles release (to a lesser degree, of course) these same negative ions!
Beeswax is a clean-burning all-natural wax, free of lead, preservatives, fragrances and synthetic dyes. A renewable resource, beeswax produces nearly dripless, smokeless candles with very little soot -- creating a bright, yet soft, natural glow and a subtle honey-like scent.
But not only are they beautiful, they actually clean the air as they burn. Yes, beeswax candles, unlike paraffin or soy wax candles, have long been known for their air purifying effects. The negative ions neutralize the "dirty" positive ions such as allergens and air-borne toxins. Dust, odours, moulds, bacteria, viruses and other toxins are captured and neutralized. Can you hear the roar of the waterfall?
Paraffin wax, however, is non-renewable. It is a by-product of petroleum refining -- it's an inexpensive sludge waste bleached with acrolyn, a known carcinogen. It creates a large amount of black sticky soot, which contains many of the same toxins found in diesel fuels -- it's the equivalent of inhaling exhaust fumes in your home. When burned, these commerically-produced candles contain substances that may emit small amounts of toxins such as acetone, benzene, lead and mercury, polluting the air in your home (and the world). The candles are almost always scented with artificial fragrances and bleached and dyed with toxic colorants.... And they drip!

Beeswax is a healthier, natural alternative!
Also Remember:
Because beeswax melts at a higher temperature than other wax, a beeswax candle will burn for a longer time than paraffin and soy. While you may pay more initially for one, a beeswax candle is just as economical, if not more so, that other candles.
